Abstract
The study aimed to identify the level of emotional stability and its relationship to achievement among handball players in Palestinian clubs in the northern governorates from the players' perspective. The researcher employes a descriptive approach in handling the research. The study was conducted on a sample of 104 players using the Emotional Response in Sport Scale (Allawi & Shamoun, 1998). The results showed that self-control ranked first with a percentage of 75.2%, followed by persistence (74.6%), sensitivity (74.2%), personal responsibility (71.1%), confidence and stress control equally (70%), and finally, desire (68.7%). The findings also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences in emotional stability and its relationship to achievement based on the variables of age, place of residence, and playing position. The study recommended enhancing emotional stability among players due to its significant role in motivating achievement and emphasized the importance of regularly applying psychological assessments.
