Abstract

Abstract:

When we talk about psychological resilience, we are referring to the return to the state that the individual was in before the stressful events occurred, and in light of the war waged by the occupation on the Gaza Strip and the traumas resulting from this war, we need a deeper understanding of this concept and what it can provide in the process of counseling and psychological treatment. After the war. By reviewing the educational literature, we will clarify the concept of psychological resilience and compare it with a group of concepts, its historical roots, and components, how the resilience process takes place, the factors that help or hinder its construction, and how individuals can be helped to raise their psychological resilience. Through my research, I found that psychological resilience is a dynamic, developing process and a personal trait that protects individuals from negative influences, including confronting stressful events and rising to overcome adversity, as well as a positive outcome for maintaining mental and physical health. What we can say is that resilience is something that we can all develop, whether we want to grow as individuals, as a family, or as a society, by using all psychological and social capabilities, to return us to feeling normal again.
