Abstract

The study aimed to identify Use Range of knowledge management in the municipalities of the northern West Bank (Jenin and Qalqilya) and to know the relationship between of knowledge management and performance in the municipalities of the northern West Bank. And it used The relational descriptive approach to achieve the study goals. the study used A random sample was 350 employees of the municipalities of Jenin and Qalqilya governorates was selected

A study designed a tool that included (36) items distributed on the dimensions of knowledge management and performance.

The study revealed  that there is The application of knowledge management in the municipalities was (76%) and the level of performance of municipal bodies reached (78%) ,The study revealed  that there is a strong positive relationship between the dimensions of of knowledge management and the performance in the local authorities in the target of the study.

The study recommended that to adopt the concept of knowledge management in the strategic plans and budget  and recommended  decision maker in  local authorities to focus in a all dimensions of knowledge management because of their importance in all of them. In improving performance.
