Publishing Instructions

Conditions for preparing the manuscript for publication :-

1. The search size does not exceed 20 pages, A4 size, with a maximum of 6000 words, including shapes, drawings, tables and margins. It is written in word format and in font (12), in bold for titles. Appendices are attached to the search only for clarification purposes only.
2. If the search language is Arabic, a font of type should be Simplified Arabic, either if the search language is English uses a type font is Times New Roman
3. Page is prepared to leave margins of 1 inch on the right and left and 3 cm on the top and bottom.
4. The spacing between the lines is 1.5 cm.
5. Referring to the researcher's name or person should be avoided during the research pages.

Specifications for preparing the first page of the title and researchers data : -

Specifications for preparing the main title of the research :-

1. The title is centered on the page.
2. The type of font is as mentioned in the above general conditions.
3. Font size is 16 Bold.
• Write the name of the researcher:
1. Write the names of the researchers under the title of the research in the middle of the page.
2. Write the researcher's first and last name.
3. Font size is 12 in bold.
4. Under the researcher's name, the department name, college name, institution name, city name, country name and e-mail should be placed.
5. The name of the correspondent researcher must be marked with an *, and the word correspondent researcher should be placed in the margins.

The research should include the following contents :-

1. The first page includes only the title of the research, the researcher’s information, its summary, and the key words in the language in which the research is written (if the research is written in Arabic, a summary is required to be written in English, but if the research is written in English, a summary must be prepared in Arabic).
2. Introduction to the research (includes the problem, importance, objectives and theoretical framework).
3. Review of previous studies.
4. Study hypotheses.
5. Study methodology.
6. Research results and discussion.
7. Recommendations and future studies.
8. List of references.
9. Attachment, if any, such as a questionnaire or some drawings or statistics.

Notes on avoiding racism :-

1. The manuscript must not include any expressions offensive to any natural or legal person.
2. Not to refer to racism and discrimination in relation to ideologies, religions, and others.

Conditions related to the preparation of the research summary:

1. The summary appears on the first page (in the language of the research), and on the last page of the search after the list of references in the other language and on a single page.
2. The word summary is placed on a separate line in font size 12 bold.
3. Then write the summary in 10 plain italics.
4. The number of words for the research summary should not exceed 250 words, whether the abstract in Arabic or the abstract in English.
5. After completing the writing of the summary directly below, the key words shall be placed, not exceeding 7 words, and written in bold italics, and the font size shall be 10.
6. The same conditions apply to abstracts in Arabic and English, taking into account the type of font.

 Conditions related to the preparation of the main and sub-headings and the body of the research:-

1. The main headings in the research mentioned in the contents of the research item shall be in bold and font size 14.
2. Subheadings are 12 font size in bold.
3. The font size for its component body is 12 normal.
4. Font size for Table title is 11 bold.
5. Font size for Figure title is 11 bold.
6. The font size of Table is 10 normal.
7. The font size for the reference list is 12 normal.

Conditions related to the preparation of tables and figures :-

1. The table title is written above the table and should take a number as follows (Table 1: Table Name).
2. Tables must take sequential numbers.
3. The table must be centered on the page.
4. When a table is indicated in the body of the research, its number must be mentioned.
5. Insert or draw shapes in the middle of the page.
6. The figure is numbered sequentially below it and a title is placed under it (Fig. 1: Figure name, source).
7. The source of the figure must be mentioned.
8. When a figure is mentioned in the body of the research, its number must be mentioned.
9. Leave one line space before and after the beginning of the table, as well as the figures.

Conditions related to preparing the list of references :-

1. If the research is written in Arabic, the Arabic references must be separated from the foreign references. The references and sources used by the researcher are arranged alphabetically at the end of the research, so that the Arabic sources and references are listed first.
 The researcher is also asked to translate the Arabic references into English, and they are given second, followed by the foreign sources.
2. If the research is written in English, the Arabic and foreign references are combined, and they are all written in English.
3. What is included in the list of references must have been documented in the body of the research.
4. References or notes should not be placed in the margins of the research, but rather placed before the list of references in a form of Footnotes.
5. The documentation process is carried out in the body of the research and the preparation of a list of references according to the style of the journal which is APA.
6. When an author has more than one research, they are arranged chronologically in the list of references.
7. Do not use et al., in the list of references, but mention the names of all researchers, the last name, the name of the researcher.

Documentation in the body of the research and preparation of a list of references
First: the rules for citation in the body of the research :-

1. If the citation is from a research in a scientific journal, the last name and year of publication are placed in parentheses, for example from a research (Abu Nassar, 2011) and in Arabic (Abu Nassar, 2011),
2. If the citation is from an Arabic book, the page number is mentioned, such as the book (Abu Nassar, 2008, p. 15), and when quoting from multiple pages (Abu Nassar, 2008, p. 10-12).

3. If it is a foreign book:
(Abu Nassar, 2008) (Abu Nassar, 2008, P15), (Abu Nassar, 2008, P10-12)
4. When citing from research by two researchers, the last name of the first researcher is put in parentheses, the last name of the second researcher and then the year, for example (Daraghma, and Aqel, 2011) or in English (Daraghma, and Aqel, 2011).
5. It is not permissible to use the margins to refer to the reference from which the researcher cited, but rather in the body of the research.
6. When citing from two references of the same researcher published in the same year, it is placed next to the first A and the second B, such as (Awad, 2010a), and (Awad, 2010b). 

7. In the event that a research of three researchers or more is cited, the family name of the first researcher is given, followed by others, then the year of publication, and if necessary the page number, for example: the first researcher is Muhannad Al-Zaghilat, the second researcher is Majid Majali, and the third researcher is Suhaib Al-Bazirat, so the documentation is done as follows ( Al-Zaghilat et al., 2012) and for the English reference (Al-Ezelat et al., 2008) where the abbreviation et al. mean and others.
8. In the event of multiple researchers cited for the same idea (Abu Nassar, 2008; Awad, 2007) as for foreign references (Abu Nassar, 2008; Daraghma, 2007).
9. In the event of citing from an organization's statistics, mention in parentheses (the organization's name, year).

Second: Rules for preparing the list of references :-

• The list of references includes the works cited in the body of the research.
• The references are arranged in alphabetical order.
• If the language of the research is Arabic, the references are divided into Arabic and foreign references, each of which is arranged alphabetically, and the Arabic references are placed first.
• When writing the research in English, all references are listed in English and are not divided into Arabic and foreign.
• When an author has more than one research, they are arranged chronologically in the list of references.
• Do not use et al., in the list of references, but mention the names of all researchers, the last name, the name of the researcher.

1. Documentation of a published book:
Author's last name, first name, (publishing year), book name, edition, city-state, publishing house.
Documenting a book by Dr. Muhammad Abu Nassar:-
Abu Nassar, Muhammad, (2008), Advanced Financial Accounting, third edition, Amman - Jordan, University of Jordan Publications.

2. Documenting a joint book by Dr. Raed Al-Saad and Dr. Zahran Daraghmeh:

Saad, Raed, and Daraghmeh, Zahran, (2014), Cost accounting in health facilities, first edition, Jerusalem - Palestine, Al-Quds Open University Press.
3. Documentation of research published in a refereed journal:

Author's last name, first name, (year), research name, journal name, volume (issue), page numbers.

Examples:

• To document a published research by Dr. Walid Khaliliah in English:
Khalilia, W. (2020). Attitudes and Challenges towards E-Learning System in Time of Covid-19 from the Perspective of Al-Istiqlal University Students. Elixir Edu. Tech.145 (1). PP 54676-54682.

• To document a published research by Dr. Zahran Daraghmeh:
Daraghmeh, Zahran, (2008), The Impact of Growth, Size and the Degree of Financial Leverage on the Information Content of Cash Flows from Operating Activities and Accounting Profits: Evidence from Jordan - Industry Sector, Arab Journal of Administrative Sciences, 15 (3), pp. 1-22.

• To document a research published by researchers Laila Herzallah and Muhammad Dawabsheh published in the Journal of the Arab American University for Research Volume 0 Issue 0 for the year 2014 in the journal pages 47-62:
• Herzallah, Laila and Dawabsheh, Muhammad, (2014), Behavioral problems among Arab American University students from the viewpoint of faculty members, Arab American University Journal of Research, 0(0), 47-62.

• To document a research published by a number of researchers in a foreign journal:
Özcan G., Dağdeviren Ö., Akman G., Khalilia W., Tezel B., and Karagöz A. (2016). Screening for antitumor activity of various plant extracts on HeLa and C 4-I cell lines. Journal of BUON. 21(6): PP 1552-1560.
4. Documenting a translated book is the same as documenting a book, taking into account the explanation below:
Name of the original author, (year), book name, edition, translation (-----), city-state, publishing house of the original researcher.

5. University Theses Documentation:

Author's last name, first name, (year), research name, thesis title, unpublished MA/PhD thesis, university name, country name.
An example of documenting a PhD thesis by Dr. Walid Khaliliah published in a foreign language:
Khalilia, W. (2015), Effects of ionized radiation on molecular mechanisms of cell death. PhDs. Thesis, Istanbul University, Turkey.
6. Documentation from organization publications:
Organization name, (year), statistic name, issue number.

Search Attachments :-

• A cover letter from the researcher to the editorial board of Al-Istiqlal University journal through the journal's e-mail or through an electronic administrative system for the journal, requesting that his research be published in the university journal.
• Submitting a personal pledge from the researcher that his research has not been previously published in any other journal, and that it is not submitted for publication in another journal.
• Attach a copy of the questionnaire if the research includes a statistical analysis, or the researcher relied on it in collecting the information and data necessary for his research.
• Attach a proofreading certificate from a specialized auditor.
• In joint research, each researcher must submit a written declaration stating the role or percentage of each researcher's participation in the research
