Abstract

This study aimed to identify the challenges educational supervisors face in applying knowledge management processes, such as organizational, human, cultural, and technical challenges. It also sought to determine the key requirements for using knowledge management processes and to reveal ways to overcome these challenges. The study employed a qualitative methodology by analyzing relevant literature and previous studies on the topic, as well as conducting interviews to answer the research questions and provide recommendations and suggestions. The study population consisted of all educational supervisors in the Northern Governorates of Palestine, totaling 34,891 supervisors. The study sample was chosen intentionally and consisted of 10 supervisors.

The results of the study showed that the educational supervisor requires a set of conditions that significantly contribute to the implementation of knowledge management processes. The study also found numerous challenges that limit the implementation of these processes, such as organizational, human, cultural, and technical challenges. Additionally, the results revealed the existence of methods, mechanisms, and strategies that reduce and control these challenges. These include providing supportive and flexible leadership capable of keeping pace with modern developments, offering modern technological programs and platforms to facilitate the generation, storage, organization, and sharing of knowledge, activating training courses for educational supervisors along with a continuous evaluation program for these courses, and enhancing communication between educational supervisors and teachers in schools to achieve excellence and competitiveness within educational institutions.
