Abstract
The current study aimed to identify the degree to which students at Palestine Technical University, Kadoorie, possess critical thinking skills from their point of view. The study sample consisted of (203) male and female students. To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire consisting of (26) items was constructed. The validity and stability of the study tools were verified by applying them to an exploratory sample from the study population and outside the study sample The researcher used the descriptive analytical method to suit the study for such research. The results of the study showed that the overall score for the students of Palestine Technical University, Kadoorie, was high with an arithmetic mean (3.4) and Standard deviation (0.35). The axis they possessed the most was the skill of deduction, to a moderate degree, and the axis they possessed the least was evaluating debates, to a moderate degree. The results of the study showed that there were no statistically significant differences depending on the gender variable, While the results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences between the faculties of engineering, economics, arts, and science, in favor of the college of engineering, The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences depending on the years of study and were in favor of first-year students, While the results showed that there were no statistically significant differences between a city and village, There are statistically significant differences between a village and a camp and in favor of the village, The current study recommended paying attention to the topic of critical thinking in mathematics among university students because of its significant impact in helping students develop their higher thinking skills.
