Abstract
Abstract (English):
This research explores the international legal framework for the protection of children during armed conflicts, focusing specifically on the violations committed against Palestinian children under Israeli occupation. It highlights how international legal instruments, such as the Geneva Conventions and their Additional Protocols, provide special protection for children. However, the gap between legal provisions and their actual implementation remains significant, mainly due to the absence of effective enforcement and accountability mechanisms. The study further examines possible avenues to enhance legal protection, particularly through international mechanisms such as the International Criminal Court and the role of human rights organizations. The findings emphasize the urgent need to develop more effective accountability tools and comprehensive protection systems for children affected by conflict.
