Abstract
This study aimed to examine the implications of the spread of armed groups and its impact on society from the perspective of intelligence officers in Tulkarm Governorate. To achieve the study's objectives, a sample of 50 intelligence officers from the General Intelligence Directorate in Tulkarm Governorate was selected. A questionnaire was used as the primary data collection tool, consisting of 45 items designed to measure the implications of armed groups' spread and its impact on society from the perspective of intelligence officers in Tulkarm. The questionnaire included three main domains: the first focused on the implications for economic security, the second on social security, and the third on political and legal security. The researchers used a descriptive-analytical method and found several key results. The study revealed that the degree of impact from the spread of armed groups on society was high, with a percentage of 83.07%. The domain of political and legal security was found to be the most affected, followed by economic security, and then social security. No statistically significant differences were observed in the perceived implications of armed groups’ spread on society based on gender or educational qualification of the intelligence officers in Tulkarm Governorate.
